Digital Health Technology & Sensor Core

The Digital Health Technology and Sensor Core (DHTS) Facility provides state-of-the-art wearable sensors, XR technologies, and dedicated research spaces for studying human health and behavior. We support the research community through equipment loaning, expert consultation, and advanced analytics for multi-sensor studies.

Formerly known as the SensorLab, the DHTS Facility brings together students, faculty, industry, and community partners to advance novel, human-centered hardware and software sensor systems. Our mission is to create an engaging environment that fosters creativity and innovation by connecting researchers across disciplines—within health sciences and beyond—to develop next-generation technologies including AI, VR, mobile apps, and Extended Reality (XR).

Our Capabilities & Technologies We are outfitted with gold-standard, state-of-the-art sensor systems and development platforms designed to detect, monitor, and analyze human physiology and behavior. Our inventory and expertise cover:

• Flexible wearable sensors and environmental monitoring.
• 360-degree video and audio recording.
• XR and VR development tools.
• Advanced large-scale data processing and multi-modal feedback capabilities.

Our Services Depending on user requirements, involvement with the DHTS Facility ranges from simple hardware access to deep collaboration on research design. We support the entire research lifecycle through:
